ABOUT

The construction of the CanSat consists of a 3D printed structure, a 9 volt battery, an Arduino and a switch. The battery and the switch work together to power on and off the Arduino along with the different sensors included in the can.

    

NEOWISE and ROGUE PLANET

Both team Neowise and Rogue Planet have the same construction within the can. Using a 3D printer, each team created a structure that was able to fit inside the can and support the Arduino, switch, battery and eye bolt which is attached to the parachute. The Arduino takes up the majority of the can, along with the wires that attach the Arduino to sensors and the battery. In order to ensure maximum space for the Arduino, the battery is put off to the side of the can in empty space. The switch for the battery's power was placed at the bottom of the can for easy access and ease of use. While placing the eye bolt at the top of the can we considered the center of gravity of the can in order for it to float straight down during its descent.
